A Good tree bears Good fruit

Matt28:19-20 "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have taught you. And surely I will be with you always, even to the very end of the age."
Dear Father,
What an exciting week. You really make things in your own time. Just yesterday I came out late afternoon to meet Claire for witnessing. She hadn't brought her H/P so thank God we still managed to meet. If she came alone too, she would have gone home instead. Anw, we met Ming Ming from SIM at the Auditorium. It was the first time she heard the gospel and it went quite smoothly... so smoothly that when I shared with her, she really believed everything, from her sins to heaven to Jesus. She had a preconceived notion that there was one God out there. Her receipt of Christ as personal Saviour was innocent enough for us to believe she was indeed born again. We had to ask her a few times if she was sure about her decision.

She was sure and we said the sinner's prayer. Thereafter Claire explained to her the need for her to grow spiritually and through the Word and asked her if she wanted to invest in a Bible, at which she willingly agreed to get at her own timing. Her schedule was classes even till Sat and only evenings off, which she uses to study, so hopefully she would take the time to meet again.

Now I face the stress of Colossians 1:28-29 "28He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me." I only hope I would be tactful in using God's Word and helping her fulfill her decision. She may face opposition from her parents who are Buddhist.
Claire said that Paul proclaimed his weakness so that when he overcame it in the end, he could say that his strength came from God, so he could give glory to God too. It wasn't my own effort 'cos I had nth to do with her salvation, but the Holy Spirit moved her =) Claire acknowledged that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few--we are glad to harvest what God has alr planned/planted.

LY said it is rare for a first-time hearer of the gospel to receive Christ: it's a miracle! Only yesterday morning on LY's orders I prayed for a fruit, expecting it to be answered sometime this year, without much conviction. Well, God's timing was awfully different from what I expected. Answered prayer! However, she warned that Ming Ming would require much prayer, 'cos the person who hates someone coming to Christ is Satan and he could find ways to make her doubt or take that faith away. So God rmbr her and keep Satan at bay so that she can come to you and be closer to you.
