entire three teams go blind and have only one leader shouting directions at them to procure items hidden in this obstacle course. So I had only one person from each team inside, and all three teams shouting at them at the same time. Messy but less confusing to the blind. Then Shou En thought since some items were rather easy for the blind to find, like they walked straight they could pick it up already, so he pointed each group to their box so they had to direct the person cross the course to it. Of course, tt was the only gd game we played altogether, haha!
We met with Malaysian churches again at THEIR Church Camp. It was thrilling! I haven't felt so flushed and relieved in so long. =)
During camp, ppl were falling ill like flies. Chin Kah, Timothy, Wei Ci, Shou En, Samuel Chong, Minna, Leonard... like everyone was ailing one way or other. It was either the captain's ball on the 2nd day was too exhausting or the water was near non-potable or the food was a flies' haven or ppl weren't used to beaches.
Titus didn't join us. I felt awkward calling Titus Chan's name sometimes. I thought it gave the Cheong family and myself false hope. Apparently, he's attending another church w his mum.
Minna was hurting in the back and leg again. We stayed up to pray for her the first nite, then everyone got to doing their things the next few nights...
The talks we covered were on prophet Elijah and coping with stress in our times. He had an interesting life proving the heathens wrong and showing the power of prayer several times when resurrecting a widow's child or setting an altar on fire or surviving on the run from evil Jezebel... he did despair while running and asked for death, but an angel cared for and fed him. So sweet!
The Guardian Angel game we had was cool... I didn't know if it had as strong an impact as expected, but with responses from Hyu Har and Hwee Chin tt it rly bonded them, I think this went rather well. There were hiccups whn I didn't realise tt I had to translate into Chinese for the elderly and somewhat neglected them during some games. Duh... designed to be elderly friendly too =P
The journey back was terrible. I strained my entire left leg to not slide over and steal Popo's side of the seat 'cos it was rly smooth and too small for my butt. I dun think I wud want another ride in a minivan again. I was gonna' shout at someone and pull my hair out for the 6 hrs duration but I tried nt to let her see my duress.
And tt concludes my memorable camp week... no pics cos no cam. HA!
