You are my Strength when I am weak...

Dear Father,

I've been sleeping late these past few weeks, waking up drowsy and subconscious till 1hr after meeting someone. Stayed in school till 4pm or 5 mostly doing basics and helping Lee Yin out whenever possible. (Most weeks my objective is to die to self so I can serve the sisters or help out in the fellowship.) Last time, if i stayed till late afternoon and that was all the heat I could take, my body would go into flu spasms and feverish bouts. Eesh, talk about weak. I feared whenever it rained in the mornings, 'cos my flu would start and my nose would run. And tt ruined my day.

For those days where the hours were long, I would have sinus from a cold blast of wind or hot or a cold wet morning or a hazy one, or a stormy afternoon, or when I had to run many errands and sweat a lot going everywhere or stay in one blistering hot spot... You exposed me to the elements and helped my body adapt. Where I should get a blocked nose or my eyes become slits or feel dizzy (like yesterday for a short bout actually) and my body on the verge of breakdown, you helped me recover in a flash. Talk about healing... Psalm 107:20 He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

The week before I helped with the CCA Navigator brochure and Claire's bday card and met up with a few gals. The week before was the crazy first week of school where we tried to reach out to as many freshmen as possible and helped Nissi with her reading. Last week I cracked my brain on how to be creative in inviting some freshmen and contacts to the Welcome Party and thereafter had to keep track of the contact's friends who were coming and the other sister's contacts and also those at the CCA fair sign ups.

The CCA fair was the first time for many of us who had to talk for hours on end and not stop. Whether to encourage the sisters I paired up with, making small talk with them or to those absent/unable to come, verbally to freshmen ladies and gents, inviting them to our club and what we offer or to call/SMS them or to encourage the bros in witnessing or just approaching freshies (I even had a talk with Joel on anger management), it was quite a 3-day ride. Most impressive was Pan Yin who brought her classmates to sign up the moment the fair began haha!

It was amazing to see the Holy Spirit at work when ppl came by themselves and sought out what the Christian clubs were about. A good turnout meant there was a certain degree of spiritual need amongst this batch of freshies. Yay God. Anw I never felt so tired and mentally drained from talking yet so happy sharing to so many ppl about Christ, even if a little, and then seeing so many ppl who need attention and affirmation at the Welcome Party.

By 6pm at the party on Friday, I tot i would really give up talking, but I was revived again when we were called to go out and get sth tt reflected our mood. I got a flower to represent how i was dying alr but seeing new faces at the party revived me. Some freshies felt the same. Glad to know the Holy Spirit was at the event providing us all strength. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I guess we were blessed with divine strength. God, you did awesome. =)
