Isaiah55:2 [NIV] "Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare."
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare."
After this Scripture Memory contest thingy a couple of Saturdays ago, the Navigators club at school made us reflect on what sorta' verse we memorised that made an impact on us that week. Mine was the verse above... it wasn't a verse i memorised but it stood out during a Quiet Time in one morning. Cue Rocky theme music!
Nav bros goofing off during the Christmas party a month back.
My super and colleague and frens were recently asking, as much as I asked myself, what i would do after graduating frm poly. The Navigators 1st came to mind. I tot it would be good to spend abt a year more with them to encourage the sisters thr for a while. So I explained what we did to the super and even my mum, but i realise tt it didn't make sense to them. Why so many hours, and so many activities? This bothered myself, tt i couldn't convince them and was starting to feel not so convinced myself. I couldn't tell them of tt nice feeling I got when I fellowshipped with the girls and did God's work tgt. I couldn't pinpoint tt emotion nor justify what we did. But I guess this verse cuts it: I could and wanted to delight in God's richest fare he offers. It is good, and it was clearly an invitation to eat what is good. Yay! Good spiritual food. Anw they also have good snacks, and i bring the Ritz with cheese often =3
